Work in progress. Most people don’t like the uncertainty that comes with life. Uncertainty is always a part of the design process. Improvisation is key to being able to handle the push and pull of the sculpt. Of course the exact method is what we all strive for in our work, but you will drive yourself crazy if you are not flexible enough to go with where the design takes you. I’m partial with the first piece yet have been working on its alternate for awhile….seeing where it might lead. Most times it’s a dead end. However I always enjoy and learn from the experience. A workable model will come out of this eventually…..stay tuned!

New year…..new site design, hope u like. We goin high res baby!

W.I.P…..

Above is the evil 3/4 view…..
Work in progress, you don’t mind me showing these do you? I start off with a sphere and bring out the form in the round. It might look like clay but the technology I’m working with is called polygons, a digital construct of clay. Take a look at the wireframe of pics 1,2,4. I have to always be mindful of how the topology flows and keep those outlines in check. I am modeling for the purpose of animation which means I am responsible for how those poly’s “flow” on the model.
The model I am sculpting out is more of a cartoony style. I find simplified designs more aesthetically pleasing and easier to work with.
